Minh Man Printing Company shares the Spring of love with patients at the Oncology Hospital. This is also the closing program of the Spring of Loving Tet activities for more than 1,000 pediatric cancer patients being treated in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, and Hanoi of the program “Thuy’s Dream”
Why was the program “Thuy’s Dream” born?
On November 2, 2007, a young citizen of Ho Chi Minh City, “Sunflower” Le Thanh Thuy passed away. Thuy is gone but Thuy’s dream still stays with everyone. Thuy spent the necessary time to achieve what she wanted. More than anyone else, Thuy understands the pain of a child’s life torn apart by an evil cancer.
Thuy and her friends contributed, using crutches to each hospital bed to encourage and give loving gifts on Children’s Day June 1 to children in similar circumstances.
Mission of the Program “Thuy’s Dream”
From Thuy’s burning dream, Tuoi Tre newspaper decided to establish the program “Thuy’s Dream”, the Green Dreams Volunteer group (under the City Youth Union) is the core force for implementation. Damaged cancer cells destroyed the spine, lying in one place. However, Thuy smiled happily and played with more than 100 children at the “Love Moon” festival in the mid-autumn season of 2007 at Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital.
Each gift includes 1 million VND in cash, a 0 VND Tet market participation ticket with more than 1,500 delicious dishes, nearly 2,000 Tet food dishes, nearly 1,000 sets of new clothes and shoes…
The festival also has nearly 10 booths with folk games such as dancing, calligraphy, caricature drawing, coloring, statue smashing…
